I have a few questions about the motion interpolation on the OLED models from the last few years. I am really in a rush to get this information and make a decision, since I have been trying for over a month and no one can tell me so far. Any help much appreciated.
1. Which of the A95L, A95K, G4, G3, C4, C3, etc can interpolate 23.9/23 24 FPS movies to 47.9/48 FPS, as opposed to 60 FPS? 2. 2. Which of the recent OLED models that can interpolate 23.9/24 FPS movies to 47.9/48 FPS can do it essentially perfectly without dropping or skipping any of the 47.9/48 frames I am looking for a model where the processor can keep up with the motion interpolation 100% of the time. 3. If I turn out to be unhappy with the built-in motion interpolation on the OLED I buy, I would like the option to use my htpc to do the interpolation from 23.9/24 fps to 47.9/48 FPS and then send the 47.9/48 FPS signal into the OLED. Can any of these OLED models accept 47.9 and 48 fps inputs and output them at 47.9 and 48 fps respectively without converting 47.9 and 48 fps to 50 FPS or some other frame rate? I want the TV to be able to function the same way as when The Hobbit movies played in theaters at 48 fps and the movie theater’s projectors were able to accept and output the 48 fps signal at exactly 48 fps without any dropped frames or skipped frames. 4. If it turns out to be the case that both the recent Sony and LG OLED models meet these specification, then the question would be which of them performs them better? In HDTV TEST Vincent Teoh's LG G3 review he said that LG has the best motion interpolation of any of the competing brands. Was this true then, and is it still true for the G4 compared to the Sony a95l? |
