This film has a special place in my heart as it really opened my eyes to the various aspects and qualities of film. Also as to what great things I could stumble upon by taking the time to look around.
I randomly recorded this film and a bunch of others when my family first got a digital recording system for our satellite TV. It made catching films on the movie channels waaaaay more obtainable. So I set up to record a bunch of different flicks, I liked Brad Pitt, I didn’t mind a western setting, so why not. I was not expecting the cinematic perfection that was delivered to me; the acting, the score, the cinematography, things I’d never really considered or thought about in regards to my viewing experience, instantly I was drawn to all of it. It’s my all-time favourite stand alone film and I will always remember the world it opened me up to as I never looked at movies or TV the same way again. So I’d love to get this in my 4K collection. |
