Here's a nice review from Sci-Fi Online: http://www.sci-fi-online.com/00_revs...26_thelma.html
(It mistakenly says the subs are burnt-in; I've asked them to correct this as they are player-generated.) |

I saw it for the first time just last week on its opening night (I know, pretty late theatrical premiere but I am glad our Slovak distributor managed to get this movie after all) and I loved it! I purchased a Blu-ray copy directly from Thunderbird so I can't wait to get it

I purchased it and was underwhelmed. I thought it started out well but lost it's way as it progressed. I don't get the comparisons to De Palma's Carrie (a far superior film in every respect) and really quite different.
My copy if heading off to eBay. |

[Show spoiler] I totally get the comparisons. But Thelma emancipated itslef boldly from this influence. I really enjoyed this movie.Does the BD come with any bonus features? |

According to the back cover (as I didn't pay any attention to what the extras when I played the film, I just hit play) there is an interview with the director, lead actress & a making of.

Wow, just caught the second part of this movie on Swiss French tv and I just could not take my eyes off it! It was shown in its original language with French subtitles, and given there isn't a lot of dialogue that aspect was not too distracting.
What a movie, really, I must have it. Is there a BD version that has its original language track and English or French subtitles? Or any other main European subtitles? If anyone hasn't seen it, I strongly recommend it and don't let the plot throw you off. It reads like a slasher movie or some cheap horror flick but it's more like a really classy supernatural suspense movie. I'm going to recommend it to everyone now! |

There is also a French BD that has the original audio (plus optional French dub) and French subs. ![]() ![]() |

The Region-A DVD that I picked up is a burned DVD-R.
