Great to see the commentary and making of included, although 101 mess up BD encodes so I’m hoping they’re alright with UHD.

Just inquired about this in the 101 Thread. The only 3 releases I have by them are "Found Footage" movies or movies with "bad film elements", so I can't really judge their quality.

im guessing no HDR or DV but what are the chances Sony does their own 4k HDR or DV transfer for a US release?

Villeneuve supervised the 4K master, so I don't see another one with DV/HDR happening.

No prior experience with 101 Films, but I may have to preorder this. Easily one of the best films of the 2010s, and we may never get a future UHD for this film.

My guidance?....lower your expectations then get in a submarine to the bottom of the pacific and then lower them some more

101 are shockingly bad, 2 of their last 3 "special edition" treatment have had the wrong aspect ratio
No customer service
No ownership
No recall

God, anyone but 101 films they’re terrible. Hopefully someone in the States will eventually release this.

Damn, I was VERY excited for this announcement but then the reputation of this unknown 101 Films spoiled it (at least a director-approved 4K restoration exist for a US release, and I’m looking at Sony Classic Pictures at most likely making it a part of a second big 4K boxset).

Be interesting to hear how the picture quality on this 4K is but the US Sony Pictures Classics bluray of this film already looks very nice... but it is locked to region 'A' (US).

First time hearing so much negative things about 101 films.

They're definitely the budget brand of "Boutique" labels. But I have a handful of their releases and have enjoyed them all.
