Default 3D movies available at the Apple iTunes Store

First 3D movies will be avaiable soon:
Monarch: Legacy of monsters 3D (series)
Jurassic World Dominion 3D
Pacific Rim: Uprising 3D
Skyscraper 3D

Primaly for the Apple Vision Pro headset. Maybe also for 3D Tvs.

Translation (google):

Apple is currently preparing some films and series in 3D. Although Apple was already one of the pioneers of digital HD and 4K films in the Apple iTunes Store, it did not distribute films in 3D until the end of the 3D boom triggered by "Avatar" in the 2010s. It was only with the new Vision Pro glasses that the topic suddenly became a priority at Apple. For example, the new "Monsterverse" Godzilla series is being produced in 3D and Disney+ is already planning its own app, through which "Avatar: The Way of Water" will probably also be shown in 3D.

According to FlatpanelsHD, in the new beta version of the Apple TV app from tvOS 17.2, the first cinema films will now be marked with a 3D logo. These include numerous films from Universal such as “Jurassic World: A New Age”, “Pacific Rim: Uprising” and “Skyscraper”. Apple itself has not yet officially announced how exactly 3D films will be offered in the future. It is still unclear whether films can be played in 3D in addition to the Apple Vision Pro from 3D televisions or video projectors via the Apple TV box.

Apple's Vision Pro glasses support 3D movie playback via two integrated 4K Micro OLED displays with HDR and "Spatial Audio" support. The Apple Vision Pro glasses will initially be available in the US from early 2024 at prices starting at $3,499.

As a person with a 3D capable setup, I surely hope they are not limited to the VR thingie.

I also wonder how they will be marketed? It's most likely a freebie as when you own a iTunes titles upgrades tend to work that way.

Wouldn't mind trying these on my Sony HMZ-T3 if they work. Knowing Apple though it'll be closed garden for Vision Pro only (at first perhaps).

There is no way those titles will be open to other devices, at least not for now. They need to sell headsets 1st. Those of us with other 3D capable devices will have to depend on those that rip streaming, let see how long it will take for them to figure this out.
