Saw a commercial last night for a new docu-series that will be airing on VICE next month called Icons Unearthed. Hadn’t heard anything about it but they’re getting buzz for having Marcia Lucas as a part of it.

Looking forward to watching this. I prefer to hear from people that aren’t always interviewed.

Icons Unearthed: Star Wars includes exclusive interviews with Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian), Paul Hirsch, Phil Tippett, Rick Baker, Ken Ralston, John Dykstra, Howard Kazanjian, Julian Glover, Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine), Gus Lopez, Tom Spina and many more. Icons Unearthed: Star Wars is narrated by Michael Pennington, who portrayed Moff Tiaan Jerjerrod in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

I thought this series was great in elevating Marcia Lucas' stature in the history of the franchise, but I regret seeing what a pompous ass Anthony Daniels is. Made me like him wayyyy less.

Have you never seen an interview with him over the last 50 years? He's *ALWAYS* been that way.

I guess I hadn't. I don't watch a ton of behind-the-scenes anymore (not since the LaserDisc days in the 90's when I ate 'em up), and most studio-produced behind-the-scenes try not to make their "talent" look like pompous asses, so they cut around that stuff.

Agree with that

Looks like without Marcia the film would have been very different, and not for the better
