Default Which Definitive Technology Center to get?

I just got a pair of Definitive Technology BP7002's and BPX surrounds and I'm trying to decide between the Clr2300 and CLR2500 centers. Which should I choose?

Thanks Guys

I'd go with the CLR 2500. Its drivers are the same size as the 7002, while the CLR 2300 mid range drivers are an inch smaller.

+1. It's a good idea to keep things similar. Plus I always go with the best center you can get that matches up with speakers in general.

Out of the 2 choices you have, go with the clr2500. However there are other choices if you're either on a budget or willing to spend more. The clr2002 is actually a very good center channel if you don't want to spend money on a 2500. If you're set on having the sub, the clr3000 is a much better choice and is about $500 on eBay for one in very good to excellent condition. The larger 6.5" mid drivers is a big difference over the 5.25" drivers in the clr2002 and 2500. No issues with timbre matching with my BP7002s.

If you're on a budget and want the 6.5" drivers, look for the clr1000b or a clr2000. None have the sub but I've gone from a clr2300 to a 2002 and now a 2000, the 2000 blows all the previous centers I had completely in clarity and mid bass response. A friend of mine has the 2500 and although it's a very good center, I prefer having the larger drivers plus the 2000 is so much cheaper. The last few auctions on eBay ended around $130 -$145. Avoid the 2300, I found it to be the weakest in the clr lineup. It's not a bad center, just for the money there are better choices in the Def Tech lineup.
