Default Bleak, bleak cinema please

I love me some bleak cinema. I've seen the usual ones that get mentioned like Happiness, Salo, The War Zone, most Haneke films.

I'm talking about some hidden gems. I recently saw, and loved these:

-Werewolf (2017)
-Submarino
-Safe Place
-lilyah 4 ever
-Let me Fall
-Christiane F
-Pixote
-Uzak
-Snowtown
-Hean-On
-A Short Film about Killing

Who can recommend me similar?

Climax is pretty bleak. It has a French director, I think.
The bleakest film I remember seeing is Spanish, I saw it with the English title Kidnapped.

Maybe not a 'hidden gem', but I really like The Road 2009.

Been meaning to check out The Rover 2014 too.

I'm not familiar with all the movies in the OP and I wish I had a larger library of hidden gems in my head, but a few movies I recall that I would certainly classify as bleak (as in they left me devastated for at least a few days) were:

Incendies (most of Denis Villenueve's early work, really)
Grave of the Fireflies
Aftersun
In Cold Blood
Jacob's Ladder
