This was to be expected. After living with the crappy HK DVD for about ten years I just spent another 15,00 € for the less crappy German DVD. Now I have to buy this movie a third time.

... I've only seen Rothrock in Yes, Madam!, Millionaires Express, and Righting Wrongs. Love them. But have never seen her solo work. How good is this one?
I am also very weary of her US work cuz... they don't look good from what tidbits I've seen. |

I haven't seen all of Rothrock's US movies but TIGER CLAW is pretty solid. On the other hand UNDEFEATABLE and BLOOD AND HONOR (both directed by the notorious Godfrey Ho) are utter crap and only watchable if you like extreme trash and enjoy it with friends and a lot of beer. Never heard of this movie before, but will give it a chance once it's been released from Eureka. if it is in the same style as Yes, madam or Righting Wrongs, color me impressed. I very rarely go for blind buy of a movie, but if D&B are on board, would expect similar quality in terms of fighting scenes.

With the D&B movies lately from Eureka and 88 (Tiger Cage Trilogy, Magnificent Warriors and In The Line of Duty set), I wonder if we'll get Legacy Of Rage. I have the Mediumrare version but an upgrade would be welcome with better subtitles and features

Speaking of Brandon Lee, I'd like another release of Rapid Fire, but since it is 20th C Fox, that is probably unlikely.

Or Vinegar Syndrome, since they've been going after Rothrock titles lately. As long as its not 88 Films, because I'd hate to lose out on a potential Arne Venema/Mike Leeder commentary.

Remember a few years back they were £14.99 but now £18.99 (a rise from £17.99 in last few titles) seems standard for single disc releases. That now seems to be £20.99 from what has been said. 88 Films doing same with prices up from £14.99 to latest titles at £19.99 or £24.99 when they are a deluxe packaging title. Of the boutiques, Indicator seem to be the ones who haven't been inflating prices dramatically. |
