I hope we'll get this in the US too since I was bummed that we missed out on a steelbook back when it was first released. Its still baffling that we didn't get one to begin with.

Damn that's a gorgeous steel, I wish Warner would do more 4K steel's with original poster art. God the Casablanca and Wizard of Oz ones would be a no brainer DAY ONE.

That looks way better than the Zavvi purple one. I may have to replace it. Especially since Zavvi packaged it horribly and it arrived dented.

I am so concerned that the one I ordered might arrive damaged that I am tempted to order a second just to increase the likelihood of getting a good copy. I wish Orbit or Diabolik would get this. I guess Orbit is more likely.

What is Warners' track record on bringing UK's steel to the US?

I still need to buy the 4k and paying twice the price just for a steel to own this movie is kinda tough. It is a nice Steel.

Very low. It's the reason I purchased so much from Zavvi over the years, and why it is so disappointing that they no longer ship to the U.S.

In fact, the odds are better that it will be released in other European countries. But those odds might not even be very good.

I sent an email to DiabolikDVD asking if they would consider ordering this release. They replied that they might consider this steel......hopefully they get it in.

Did you try Orbit by any chance as well? They seem to be more likely to stock titles like this one.

This is a perfect SteelBook design as far as I'm concerned. Original one sheet front with taglines and movie credits included on back.

There was this Casablanca one in 2013 ( https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Casab...Blu-ray/59712/ ) but The Wizard of Oz always got lousy designs. Well, I guess the 'Dorothy in flowers' looked fine but it wasn't what I want, which is original promo poster art.

Purchased it. Only HMV gave me a preorder option. This is my first steelbook in quite a long time.

My dream Oz steelbook, if they ever get REAL niche with it, would definitely be with the art from the 50th Anniversary VHS. That's the version I grew up with and always had nostalgia for, same for this poster for Wonka. I just love a good steelbook that uses vintage promotional art to some extent, it just always feels right.
