Default Papillon 50th Anniversary

Papillion will have its 50th anniversary later year, released on December 19th,1973. This is a must for Warner Bros. to have a 50th anniversary 4k uhd release this year. This is my all time favorite Steve Mcqueen movie. One of the most memorable scenes i never forget from this movie that i can relate to now that i am older has to make you wonder how many of us never think about.

I want a 4K so bad, but most likely it ain't happening.

Besides, WB pretty much announced most of their 4K 2023 slate already.

I want .. WESTWORLD 4K. It's the 50th anniv as well. No way that's happening since the show has been cancelled.

It's still a classic 70's sci-fi flick (despite the meh TV series) I hope it DOES get a 4k release!!

With the new Westworld series it would've been a no-brainer to remaster and release the og Westworld on 4K, there is no better timing actually. Let's hope it happens this year.

And of course Papillon, one of my top wants! 50th anniversary for both movies. Come on Warner!

damn that scene is terrifying! don't think Ive ever seen a scene that felt like they were talking to the viewer so personally, and the eyes on McQueen, he seems like a beaten animal.

Mcqueen was a vastly underrated actor, much more subtle and capable of unpredictable choices as an actor, that critics ever gave him credit for.

Papillon is one of the most human movies ever made, full of cruel beauty, which is ultimately what life is about, as you grow older you begin to understand the weird and sardonic plan at work, and if you don't laugh you're left only with hopelessness. Papillon talks about keeping your humanity when life tests your limits. It is a beautiful story, and goldsmith score... wow

definitely a 4k release would expose new viewers to this excellent movie, and hopefully erase their memory of the ridiculous remake.

I just noticed a French 4k release of this coming on 2nd of October. On Amazon the cover looks to have Japanese? text on it so I've no clue what it actually is and where this release is coming from.
