My 4k movies from moviesanywhere won’t play in 4k on the YouTube app on my Apple TV 4K. When I go to the settings, it always says 1080P is maximum. Even direct Google Play redeems that are flagged 4k. But I can watch other 4k stuff in 4k in the YouTube App, so it's not a general problem with 4k. Any ideas ?

It is a limitation of the YouTube app itself.
AppleTV’s app is limited to 2.0 sound on all streams, 4K is limited to 1440p60, and up to 1080p for Google Play/YouTube purchases. XBox’s app offers 5.1 sound when available, proper 4K with HDR, but Google Play/YouTube purchases max out at 720p with 5.1 (when available). Nintendo’s app maxes out at 1080p but offers 5.1 (when available) for Google Play/YouTube Purchases. |

Install the native MA app and playback your films via the MA app, which should provide all of the films in your MA library. Second, check to determine if the film is linked to your Apple Movies account, because the Apple app may sometimes provide a better quality version, including DV and Atmos. Good luck! |

Ive only just started using the digital codes on all the movies i have. At least that ones that still work. So ive got apple tv app on my mac, ps5, and old tv now broken-nw LG C4 coming next week. So now ive linked a lot of those codes from MA, Fandango for playback in my apple library. Now Im considering buying a Apple TV box with my new TV coming, Would you this be the best way to view all these digital films now in apple library for my TV? The Ps5 seems to run them well with a direct ethernet as opposed to my old tv via wifi on the apple tv app. Also, streaming to films or downloading them into to app preferred ? Should i buy a apple TV box or stick with app on tv or ps5?
