I just realized that Pioneer started making televisions again. But instead of making high-end plasma screens like the 60 inch PRO-141FD and 50 inch PRO-101FD that were 2008 models that went out of production in April of 2009. Pioneer since the year 2021 has been making lower end LCD screens, when I say lower end I mean the picture quality is not as good when compared to a LG or Sony OLED flat panel. However, the low-priced Pioneer LCD flat panels on sale at Best Buy for around $149.99 might be reliable with the possibility of them lasting 10+ years when connected to a good UPS or surge protector. However, I and other people are still using 16 year old Pioneer plasmas from the year 2008 that are reliable.
Its too bad Pioneer Electronics does not expand into the OLED flat panel business. But more money can sometimes be made making lower end LCD television sets. Lets not forget the lesson learned back in 2009 when Pioneer lost several billions of dollars in research and development cost to become the world leader for the best plasma picture quality. I am sure Pioneer is not going to repeat that financial mistake again. Those interested in a lower end LCD screen in the 43 inch, 50 inch, 55 inch, and 65 inch sizes can visit Best Buy or check out the Pioneer website. 16 years ago Pioneer had a 60 inch screen, now the biggest screen is 65 inches which is only 5 inches bigger. https://www.usca.pioneer-tv.com/en/index.html?c=US Last edited by HDTV1080P; 02-21-2024 at 01:40 AM. |
