Default Rocky and Bullwinkle(TV series)

Not exactly the best in animation quality but I would still get it if it got a blu ray release. Anyone else a fan of the original series?

getting a blu release would be nice, not just for better picture/sound quality but also for taking up less space.

What was your favorite segments?

I have always loved the Fractured Fairytales and Dudley Do Right.

I wonder if the film elements still exist for this one.

I would buy if original music was restored. Don’t like the new music

I watched the show as a kid, and then I really got into them when they released some of the episodes on videocassette when I was in high school. I had seven different R&B t-shirts. One time, I saw two shirts at the mall I wanted - R&B and The Doors - but only had the cash to get one of them. Bye-bye, Jim Morrison.

I haven't watched this show for over 20 years. I wonder if I would still like it.

The Buena Vista releases from the 1990s had some very obviously synthesized recreations of music.

If these were the OG broadcast cuts (which do exist), I’d bite. Otherwise forget it.

I loved this series and introduced them to my grandkids who also love them.
Anyone know how many seasons were on DVD? I have three seasons.
Also loved Beany and Cecil. Such funny, sly and witty cartoons.

All 5 seasons were released on DVD - available in a complete series set for about what I paid for 1 season 20 years ago

Rocky and Bullwinkle is showing every night at 11 p.m. Eastern on the MeTV Toons channel. Only a couple of streaming services (that I'd never heard of) and no cable companies have picked it up, so you'll probably need an antenna to get it.
It looks very nice and is broadcast in 720p in my area. Still has the terribly long early-season opening with the new title, "Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends." The original title was "Rocket and His Friends," I think.
The music you remember is from when it changed networks and became "The Bullwinkle Show." It wasn't on the DVDs (reportedly) because the company didn't have the rights and didn't want to pay the asking price. There's a brief blast of it in a bumper where Bullwinkle is standing in front of a jukebox. It's called the "BunaB Anthem," but that's probably not the title. Google "BunaB" for the story behind that name.
