Bravia 9 is understandably getting most of the attention, but I think Bravia 7 will be the "sleeper hit" of the 2024 lineup.

It's essentially an X95L without the X-Wide Angle or X-Anti Reflection layers (a change for the better or worse, depending on who you ask). So last year's top LCD becomes the third tier TV in this year's lineup. Chinese reviews are confirming the 65" has 480 zones, same as the 65" X95L. From this we can infer the larger models will match the 75" and 85" X95L as well (it will be interesting to see how many zones the 55" gets, as it's Sony's first mini LED in that size class).

I'm getting a new TV this year, and I've rearranged the furniture in the room the TV will be going in. I can now fit a 65", should I decide I want to go bigger than 55", and the Bravia 7 is a strong candidate. I was considering the X90L, but while a good TV in its own right, I decided the Bravia 7 represents too big an improvement to ignore.

Edit: In the end, I decided 65" is too big for this room after all. It wouldn't work well. I've ordered an X90L as it's the best LCD offered by Sony in this size class.

I know everyone has been really focused on the 9 series, but we do all our primary watching in our dedicated theater room with a JVC RS3100 so I felt the 7 series would be the perfect fit for upgrading our 1st gen Vizio 4k bedroom TV. I've been waiting for a solid mini-led to come along and this looks like it's gonna fit the bill for what I've been wanting.

Sony just lowered the 65" and 55" BRAVIA 7 prices for all authorized dealers.

So now the 65" BRAVIA 7 is $1,999. and the 55" is just $1,699. all in and delivered Nationwide.

Plus check with your favorite Sony Diamond dealer for even more savings!

Default Bravia 7 would not power on

I've had my Bravia 7 for about 2-3 weeks maybe. Last night the power light was orange. It wouldn't respond to OK/Hey Google commands. It wouldn't power on with the power button under the display although I might have been pressing the wrong thing. Who puts power buttons where you can't see them?It wouldn't power on with the remote. I charged the remote and spouse said "yea the light on the remote was getting dimmer and dimmer, was I supposed to charge it" But I don't see why the remote would stop the TV from answering.

After charging the remote for about 10 minutes the TV worked normally and was responding to Google voice commands. And I turned off the TV with the remote control. I was about to check the TV but spouse decided to go take a nap in the TV room. Argh! LOL
