Definitely go with Stars Wars... also with Dirty Harry; Mad Max; The Godfather; and Halloween.

Some good franchises there like Star Wars, Alien, Dirty Harry, Jaws and Mad Max. But I love the Star Trek movies so voted for them.

easy

All 3 Films were nominated for Best Picture, Best Director.
2 of the films actually won Best Picture in a very crowded race.

Only franchise that comes close to this is LOTR Trilogy in 2000 decade.

It's between Alien and Halloween for me. I've never really cared for Star Wars or Star Trek (unpopular opinion)

There's just something intriguing and mystifying about Michael Myers and the Xenomorphs that let's your imagination go wild

I'd say Rocky because you had Rocky 1 - 4 that all came out in a short amount of time. All were very popular back then and Sly was a huge action star.

If I am to pick the best overall "franchise" rather than judging based on individual films, it has to be The Godfather. It's the most consistent in terms of quality from beginning to end.

The Exorcist, Jaws, Star Wars, Halloween and Alien all have great first installments plus a varying number of decent-to-good sequels, but they all went off the rails at some point.

Star Wars. It has had a large impact on my life not simply through the movies but from merchandise and other forms of media like video games and books. Not all of it is great but at least there's an option to pick and choose.
