MGM (via Warner) will be releasing American Fiction (2023) on Blu-ray on June 18th. In my opinion, this was one of the best films of 2023, with Jeffrey Wright, and Sterling K. Brown giving two of the best performances of their respective careers.

I was curious if this was gonna get a release (and who was gonna do it, given that Kino is releasing MGM/Orion’s Bottoms). Glad it’s coming to Blu-ray!

Definitely one of my favorite films of last year! So happy that it is releasing on Blu-ray!

This getting a release gives me hope that something like Challengers will also get an official release...surprised Saltburn has nothing so far tho

I loved this movie. Not as comedic as the trailer made it seem, but it was damn funny. Touching too. The writing was great and everyone in it was perfectly real, flaws & all. I look forward to watching it again.

Yeah the first trailer was really misleading for it, and made it look much more like a typical comedy. That's why I specifically posted the 2nd trailer in the post instead, as it does a better job showing some of the dramatic aspects too.

This film reminds me of the similarly made 80's film Hollywood Shuffle, but it also feels so much different at the same time so I'll pick this up this film looks really good. Shame on me for missing out on this film, and Anatomy of a Fall last year time to amend that.

I watched the stream this weekend (Hulu I think?). The movie was fine enough, not something I’d come back to anytime soon. But, I thought the streaming picture quality looked fantastic.
