Malum looks promising.
It reminds me of a similar themed movie I watched on Tubi. Last Shift, which is on there now. Ha, that's funny, it's based on Last Shift. Cool. Last Shift 2015 · 1 hr 27 min R Horror · Mystery · Thriller A rookie cop oversees the last shift at a closing police station, but soon discovers the building’s connection to a cult, and all hell breaks loose. Starring Juliana Harkavy Joshua Mikel J. LaRose Directed by Anthony DiBlasi |

Why the director of horror movie Malum remade his own film Anthony DiBlasi's new film is a reinterpretation of 2014's Last Shift. https://ew.com/movies/malum-jessica-...alie-victoria/ Quote:

Saw Malum last night and really dug it. The practical effects were insanely good (RussellFX who did Hellraiser 2022 and a few other recent flicks I enjoyed), and the DiBlasi really seemed to take advantage of his second chance telling the story.

I rewatched The Last Shift and it has some good, creepy visuals, although I hope this new film improves on the story a bit for more depth. In Last Shift, she was mostly wandering the Police Station like someone walking through a Haunted Mansion for most of the film. There was a little bit about the reason for the ghosts there, so that was good. |

I watched Last Shift a couple days prior too, some of the dialogue is verbatim, especially toward the beginning, but it was cool to see how different it got VERY quickly. |

There was some good stuff here but felt like the last act went overboard and didn't make that much sense, like they were just throwing whatever looked scary in. It also got tiring after a while when
[Show spoiler] Would have liked more background on the entity and what the cult was trying to do. The first half was rather creepy, especially whatever was happening on the street the girl drove down with a lot of police cars. I'd give it a 3/5.
