Love the first 2 movies in the franchise - the first one is a perfect blend of spooky & funny for me & the second is just fun. Cunningham's been trying to get a reboot off the ground for decades. Hope it finally happens.

Sounds like they're going down a different route for this one - I haven't watched it for a while, but as far as I can recall, there were no 'kills' at all in the original.

Had to bump this. Good thing I searched before making a new topic. I just found out about this a few days ago and it blew my mind. I don’t know how I missed this news because this is one of my very favorite movies.

I always thought they’d eventually do some kind of new one but it’s so weird to me seeing this because it’s not a movie that typically comes up a lot. I know a lot of people love it it just seems like it’s hardly in the general consciousness.

I really hope this happens. I would prefer a sequel that ignores Part 4 (I even have an idea how they could do it) but I’m still all for this.

I wonder if they’d use the same house for the exterior again. It’s been for sale a few times and someone probably lives in it. It’s also been made a historic landmark. If it’s s reboot i doubt it. A similar style mansion would still be cool though. There’s plenty of different ones around.
