I didn't like the two Bruce Lee films I've seen, but I love Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao and Sammo Hung's films from the 80s.

Which films is this one most like? Not sure whether to blind buy or not .

While it shares the same story as Bruce Lee's Fist of fury, the style is very different. It's closer to Donnie Yen movies rather than movies by Lee or Jackie Chan and the likes. It's a great movie no matter what and the action is incredibly badass, I doubt you'll be disappointed. Well worth a blind buy.

If you enjoy good choreography this film is a must. One of Li's finest IMO.

OldPangYau has already confirmed that he’s not worked on a hybrid cut so it’s not impossible that it won’t happen, but I’d say the chances are slim

Its more of a traditional martial arts film being a remake of the Lee original but stylistically I would say somewhere between Golden Harvest style 80's kickboxing and Jet's more wushu heavy 90's films, choreography is fairly elaborate at points but quite hard hitting with little or no wire work.
