Default Is anyone else going crazy with these repeated threads on the same topic?

I keep seeing all those news articles showing up, and many of them are the same news we have heard for the past few days. Is anyone else going nuts by all this news and speculation about when Toshiba will give up, and when Universal and Paramount will come to blu-ray?

I can't wait till we get some real news instead of these articles rehashing and adding little details over and over

I've gotten to the point if it says Toshiba, Universal, Paramount, or Gone Blu, I just ignore them now.

Absolutely. I wish people would use the search function and see if the news they want to report or the thread they want to start has been reported/started. So frustrating.

It's just people excited to spread some news. Remember back in November when Stringer's comments were taken out of context and this forum looked all doom and gloom? We would've given anything to have had multiple threads about Toshiba yanking HD DVD back then. I'm not complaining. If it looks redundant, I don't click.

actually, they werent taken out of context. He said what he meant, and what he meant is what was communicated. However we just didn't want to hear it.

Quite soon the announcements will all be made, and then we won't have that much exciting news to talk about--except about new releases from all the studios. We might as well savor it while we can.

As far as I'm concerned, duplicate threads or not, post away. This won't last long, regardless.

Yeah I agree, how many threads can we see about: black bars, grain, Star Wars, Lord Of The Rings, Transformers, Paramount/Universal, or the same news article about Toshiba?

People are just excited. Annoying yes but give everyone a break until this blows over

Or... lock the forum down until it's official... that's pretty much the only way to stop the excitment driven multi-posting.

Sure they were taken out of context. So many around here were looking at it as Sony conceding victory to Toshiba, forget about what was going on around AVS. We were given an incomplete text, everyone focused on the "stalemate" comment of what Stringer had said which made it look like they were ready to bow out.
