Default Bookshelf Woes (UK)

I'm sure this has been discussed to death so I apologise if its another thread.

I'm struggling to find decent shelves for my bluray collection. For context I organise my blurays in alphabetical order. I know some people organise by genre, studio, collectors edition, etc. That's fine whatever you like but I like alphabetical as easy to find things when you have hundreds of blurays. The only things I keep separate are all my Arrow blurays are together in separate book cases, as are DVD's.

The problem I have is that my shelves don't allow much customisation which can be a problem. For example lets say you have Ghostbusters on 4k, standard size case but then on the same shelf I have The Godfather 50th Anniversary collection which is much taller as its in a photo album style box. My current shelves only allow me to raise or lower the shelves so much as they don't have shelf holes running all way down them.

Solution No1: I could drill holes all the way down the shelf sure. Shelves are cheap so most likely would just split the wood (im a basic DIY guy not Tim "The Toolman" Taylor)

Solution No2: Separate all my big box stuff into a separate display shelf. I would rather not do this as I already do it for big Xenomorph head, Walking Dead boxes, etc so I don't want to separate out boxes that, other than their size, are not exactly special, they are just boxes.

Any ideas or suggestions for some good quality customisable shelves? Also whilst I am asking, short of just cutting some word to length, does anyone know of any good shelf stoppers to allow me to have all my blurays lined up with the edge of the shelf?
