It’s been on Amazon, I preordered this back in February. I guess no one made a thread then. Excited the complete series is coming to Blu-Ray!

Would this have a worthy benefit from a 4K release over the blu ray?

Now up at MovieZyng, so it will be through MOD distribution. Release date is August 13th.

I'm not really familiar with MovieZyng. Why does this mean it's MOD ?

Definitely getting this though.

MOD just means manufactured on Demand. They make smaller print runs, and make more as needed. It will be sold at various retailers, but not as many as if it were a wide relase (so no Walmart or Target for instance). MovieZyng is the retailer arm of a company called Allied Vaughn. They make both pressed, and BD-R (burned) discs, but in this case, I'm pretty sure they will be pressed. Allied Vaughn makes, and dsitributes all of Warner Archive's Blu-ray releases as another example.

Oh, okay. Yeah, just about every major studio with MOD releases have them made by Allied Vaughn, and sold at MovieZyng. Besides Warner, Sony, MGM, Paramount, and Lionsgate also use them.

Never ordered there. I see they ship to Europe. Might have to take a look around then.

Them not using IOSS is a bit of a letdown though.

Not at Target or WM physical stores, but should be available on their websites... but it's hit and miss with which actually show up.

Sadly, CYE would be less likely to get a complete collection, or at least less worthy, considering the first run of seasons we’re shot on SD digital cameras.

Barry would be nice, but they seem to begrudge their 30 minute shows (comedies), 1080pBD’s presently. Especially frustrating having S1-4 of Silicon Valley and then they go DVD only. Even worse, The Duece was S1-2 BD and then DVD for S3 (picked up the DVD to complete the collection).

While Succession was wildly successful, which has probably pushed WB to do a BD release (I will be picking it up, and it’s a blind buy), I’m hoping we might see BD’s for Euphoria and Industry, once they complete their runs.

I picked up the Euphoria DVD, but even with my Sony UHD upscaling the picture to 4K/24, it can’t compete with a 4K stream of the show. I can’t believe DVD is still a thing. Was hoping BD/4K would have killed it, like DVD did to VHS. Oh well. Cest la vie.
