A truly terrible title, & they should really stop trying to make Liam Hemsworth a star, but it does look like it could be pretty entertaining.

I greatly enjoyed this film, saw it twice this weekend. Pretty decent writing, direction and high technical merits. Will definitely pick this up on blu-ray or 4k once released!

The title isn't the greatest but there is a reference to it in the film. I also really enjoyed the way the title is washed away by the tide during the opening credits.

I really enjoyed this as well. A few down moments and some shaky cam (which I dislike) but I'd put this as my top theatrical film of the year so far. Yesterday I saw Altered Reality which was the worst so this weekend was a major swing for movies.

I dont get why this tanked so hard, i just saw it and found it to be a genuinely enjoyable war movie that really gets you on the edge of your seat.

Between this and Guy Ritchie's The Covenant from last year, I really don't understand why these really tremendous war movies are under-peforming

Decent action flick made significantly better any time Crowe was on screen. Shame he wasn’t in more of it. I do wonder how many actors could pull off the combination of hilarious and terrifying he has to be during the film’s final act.

I think most people are probably content to stream stuff like this at home unfortunately. I’m a big theater cheerleader myself but I sometimes find it hard to get the motivation to watch action films at the theater when I know they’ll often look and sound better on my home setup. It helps when distributors manage to get some PLF screens for films like this but that’s becoming harder and harder in the CBM era. Ambulance is a perfect example of a big stupid action film that benefitted quite a bit from Dolby Cinema but I don’t think it ended up doing particularly well either.

Surprisingly good action flick, reminded me a bit of 'Behind Enemy Lines' . This would probably do well on DTV. DVD release set for May 14th, hope there will be atleast a Bluray if not 4K.

It had a non-existent marketing plan. I didn't even see a trailer for it until 3 days before it released.

Yeah... the marketing was not great on this one. If it didn't have Russell Crowe, the trailer kind of looked like a DTV movie.

Hopefully it does find it'd audience once it hits video/streaming. A good movie deserves an audience regardless of where that audience comes from.

Guy Ritchie's The Covenant didn't do good, but I have heard numerous people talk about how good it was once it hit home video.

Even with poor marketing it surprises me that a theatrical action release with a known cast has so little interaction on this thread. It's done low box office too which is unfortunate for a decent film. So many crapped all over Madame Web but at least went to see it.

There was just no marketing awareness for it, and Liam Hemsworth and Russell Crowe are no longer bankable draws in terms of box office.

But I'm very interested to check this movie out.

After watching this for some reason I really wanted a can of Monster.

As far as William Eubank movies go, this was at the bottom for me. I love Underwater and I think The Signal and Paranormal Activity Next of Kin are both really good. This had some decent action and great slow motion shots but the rest didn't really work for me.

Serious question, I know nothing about the military but are people in the military or in Crowe's job allowed to be as humongous as he is in terms of being overweight? I know he's not an active duty in the field soldier in the movie so I don't understand what the rules are. He is a kind of soldier though right? Like I say though, I know absolutely nothing about this kind of stuff.

This is a great action/war flick.Much much better quality than most DTV movies. Really strong production values.
Draws quite heavily from several modern combat films, but is no worse as a result. Looks great in 4k. streaming in UHD on Prime in the U.K.
No sign of a disc release yet.
I’ll pick this up on 4k for sure. Really enjoyed it

That looks good, although anyone interested in this will probably also want to watch Behind Enemy Lines, which is surprisingly a very entertaining, survival action/war type film where Owen Wilson is a pilot, shot down, and has to make his way to the pick up point across hostile, war-enemy territory as his leader/Hackman, talks to him over the air, and Rockstar's GTA4's Nico Bellic hunts him down at 1:25 minutes into the trailer below.

Default No US Blu-Ray release?

Dang... I only see a preorder option for DVD.
😔

Might have to do foreign release for this. Enjoyed it in the theater.
