They're really releasing these individually?

Cash grab. Atleast use different art if doing them individually.

Disagree. The OG sets have been OOP here in the USA for quite some time. I don't see this release as a negative.

Sure, it's not for those who bought the original sets, but for those who missed out, will they really care that the art is the same?

The releases aren't for you or me.

I am surprised they're not re-releasing the set in the US. The UK are getting it, and the Hobbit one re-released in March

I thought Gruv or Amazon had gotten a decent size order just last year or so of the trilogy. It was priced a bit higher than originally sold for, but not much.

Am I correct in that these do not contain the large amount of extras and documentaries found on the DVD’s and Blu-Rays of the Extended Editions?

None, unfortunately. Just the theatrical and extended versions on 3 discs (the latter version split across 2 discs)

I wonder if they just took these from all the box sets that were too beat up to resell, and slapped freshly printed j-cards on them.
