‘The Chinatown Diner’: First Teaser Revealed For Under-The-Radar Indie Pic Starring Aileen Wu, Curtis Lum, Andrea Bang, Olivia Cheng & Tzi Ma

Here’s your first footage for under-the-radar North American indie pic The Chinatown Diner, whose cast is led by Alien: Romulus breakout Aileen Wu.

Curtis Lum (The Night Agent), Andrea Bang (Kim’s Convenience), Olivia Cheng (Warrior) and Tzi Ma (Mulan) also star.

The coming-of-age drama, which explores the social fabrics of Vancouver’s Chinatown district, follows Rikki Meng, played by Wu, a beatmaker who falls in love with the The Chinatown Diner, a soon-to-be-demolished diner by day and underground hip-hop club by night. She sets out to save this beloved community stable her real estate tycoon father is trying to destroy. Meanwhile The Immortals, a hip hop group from the near future, narrate the story in their divine podcast.
