Default IPod Classic

Does anyone here own an ipod classic (80 gb)? If so, does a normal 3.5 mm cable work to hook it up to an aux jack? ( like to listen in a car for example) I have a nano, and one of these cables, and just wanted to make sure the cable will work when I upgrade to the classic.

Thanks!

The headphone jack is a standard jack, yes. The dock connector is the same as well.
