The moontears will flow for one and one alone when The Duskbloods, a brand-new multiplayer game by FromSoftware, is coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026!

This software for Nintendo Switch 2 is a PvPvE - based multiplayer action game in which up to eight players can fight each other and fight against enemies. Players become "Twilight Blood Clan" who have gained powers beyond those of humans through the power of their special blood, and throw themselves into a fierce battle for "First Blood".

An interview with the director about the concept and worldview of this work, "Creator's Voice," will be released on Friday, April 4th at 10pm.

Please look forward to this title , which will be released in 2026.

I don't like that FS are releasing 2 multiplayer games back to back, although maybe they made this because the Switch 2 can't run Elden Ring Nightreign

This looked like an amazing spiritual successor to Bloodborne. Then I found out it's a lame multiplayer game that no one asked for. No words for how disappointed I am.

Somehow I missed this in all the news yesterday. Earlier I was watching a trailer for it and I couldn't believe there was a spiritual successor to Bloodborne coming from FromSoft. But my enthusiasm was brief. Once the gameplay started I could tell something wasn't right, and sure enough, after a little digging I found out what kind of game it really is.

I just hope that FromSoft used some of that Elden Ring money to form a new studio for this. I'd hate to think that any of their core talent is overly involved with this kind of thing.

Oh good grief, as in forced multi-player? I can't believe those damn things still exist in 2025. Only took countless high profile financial disasters, culminating in Sony's Concord to finally kill off that type of game. Guess this one had been in production for many years, back when multi-players games were still viable. Probably (and thankfully) one of the last we'll see.

Online multiplayer games still make literally billions of dollars annually.

I will end up buying this game even though I don’t play multiplayer games. I am a fan of FromSoft, so I will buy all of their games. Of course, I will wait for a sale. Perhaps in the future, I may try online gaming.
