Default Characters from One Show that Appeared on Another (not Crossover)

This is different from a crossover as that usually means that characters and plots of both shows appear on either show and directly relate. (Like the different “Chicago” series)

An example I’m thinking of is Bret Harrison and Tyler Labine reprising their roles from The CW’s “Reaper” on ABC’s “Kevin (Probably) Saves the World”.

Another is Chelan Simmons appearing on an episode of NBC’s “Hannibal” as Gretchen from Fox’s “Wonderfalls”.

Any other similar examples?

The king of visiting and being a part of multiple shows is John Munch played by Richard Belzer.

He started out on Homicide: Life on the Streets and then also appeared on:
Law & Order
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
Law & Order: Trial by Jury
Arrested Development
The X-Files
The Beat
The Wire

This was the first character that came to mind.

Victoria Cartagena as Renee Montoya on Fox’s “Gotham” and The CW’s “Batwoman”.

I don’t think “Gotham” is part of the Arrowverse.

Larry, Daryl and Daryl from Newhart also appeared in an episode of Coach.

Tracy Spiridakos from Chicago PD appeared as her character on FBI during a special assignment. That reminded me of how they moved John Munch around previous Dick Wolf shows.

Green Acres is considered a spin off of Petticoat Junction.

David Schwimmer played Ross Geller on an episode of the short-lived sitcom, The Single Guy. It was weird because, one of the main cast members, Jessica Hecht as Janeane Percy-Parker, also portrayed Susan Bunch, Ross's ex-wife's wife, on Friends.

ABC's 'TGIF' did this all the time in the 90s. Steve Urkel from Family Matters appeared on episodes of Full House and Step By Step. On an episode of Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, the lead character gets an assignment substituting for a first grade class and Michelle from Full House is one of the students.

I think there were other special appearances involving Boys Meets World -> Step By Step -> Sabrina the Teenage Witch as well.

Family Matters was the only true spinoff series with Harriette Winslow first appearing in Perfect Strangers.

^^^ I second all of that. One more for your list is Dana from the Step By Step show making an appearance on the Boys Meets World show. She runs into Cory while both of them are at Walt Disney World back in the spring of 1996.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

Also Munch was mentioned by name on the BBC show "Luther". This means that Idris Elba portrays both Chief Inspector John Luther AND Stringer Bell in the same continuity.

...

Of course, since there was a shared character between St. Elsewhere and an episode of the X-Files, that means that these shows (and others that have crossed with St. Elsewhere) are figments in the imagination of a certain autistic boy...

She'll be playing the same character, but they'll be different versions. Not really the same.

To further that, Jamie and Fran appear at Central Perk, but this may be considered a crossover despite it not really being central to the plot.

Same could be said for Jess from New Girl and Jake from Brooklyn Nine-Nine on their crossover that was more like glorified guest appearances.

There was a storyline in season 2 of Sabrina where Salem ate a time ball and the other shows on TGIF that night (Boy Meets World, You Wish, and Teen Angle) all had time travel type shows. I think Salem appeared on BMW and he and Sabrina appeared on Teen Angel. I honestly don't even remember the show You Wish lol

Jean Smart played a character in Style & Substance and then appears as the same character in the Mad About You revival.

Carlo Gugino appeared as "Karen Goodall" in the second episode of the third season of Justified, which is also based on a work by Leonard.[9] There, the character had been promoted to Assistant Director in the Marshals Service, and had married and divorced, taking and keeping the last name Goodall. This name change was necessary as FX did not own the rights to the Karen Sisco character, or her stories.
Carla Cugino as Karen Sisco/Goodall on Justified.
The main character started as a Miami Marshal in season 1.

There's a whole website about it. There are contradictions in it, but it's a good starting point.
