And she's a heck of an actress. She's really been in some interesting films.

I did, in theaters, actually, and, sorry, but I didn’t much care for it. My amvivikance towards it adds to feeling of time passed.

Wasikowska really is an impressive actress, and anyone who hasn't seen her opposite Michael Fassbender in JANE EYRE, or as Tilda Swinton's vampiric younger sister in ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE, should remedy that immediately...

Yeah, I really need to see Only Lovers Left Alive. It's one of those movies I've been meaning to see and just haven't gotten around to it.

Just when I thought the vampire genre had pretty much been exhausted, this film proved me wrong. The whole cast (Wasikowska, Tilda Swinton, Tom Hiddleston, John Hurt and Anton Yelchin) is terrific and the film is wonderfully deadpan funny and intelligent. It also has a bittersweet air and benefits from taking place in a largely abandoned section of Detroit...which gives it a spooky and plaintive atmosphere.

Great stuff, vampirism has never felt quite so lonely and yet so undeniably cool; quite possibly my favorite Jim Jarmusch film.

Do find time to watch it!

Yeah, that's a great cast. Prime has it for $3.99, so I'll check it out tonight. And of course, Detroit's my home town, so there's that too.
