Default Hammer Films in 4K UHD

Thought it would be a good idea to keep an ongoing list of all Hammer films available on 4K UHD Blu-ray. Hopefully many more are to come!

In the event of multiple releases of the same title, I will default to whichever edition is released first.

1950s

1960s

1970s

Announced, Awaiting Confirmed Details:

The Man Who Could Cheat Death (Vinegar Syndrome)

Scars of Dracula (Kino Lorber)

I'm real curious to see which "gothic" they're about to announce. It looks like it is one of the Frankenstein films they still control, but hard to say, the teaser image is of test tubes. I think the announcement is tomorrow. Anyone know anything?

KL announced SCARS OF DRACULA 4KUHD over a year ago !! What the Hell ? How long does it take ? The HAMMER company had No releases yet in August 2024. They now have Seven. Only thing is the prices are too high for one movie.

I think that one of the big 3 will be announced soon. I suspect it will be "Curse of Frankenstein".

Kino insider has said they are at Studio Canal's mercy when it comes to delivering the elements for the "Scars" release and as yet, they have received nothing.

I’m honestly hoping they do any of the Frankenstein films other than Curse, very happy with the two disc Warner Archive, fantastic presentation.

Curse of Frankenstein is my #1 favorite Hammer and an all-time favorite film in general, would be over the moon if that's really coming.

Hammer posted a zoomed in clip of the film on Facebook and it’s getting a limited cinema 4K rerelease here in the UK. I think it’s safe to say it’s Curse.

I shudder to think of the cost, but I'd love box sets of both the Dracula and Frankenstein series. It'd really take the edge off buying some of the lesser entries.

(Or, let's be honest; re-buying some of the lesser entries)

Vampire Circus is in dire need of a new transfer.

The Synapse blu-ray transfer was too dark, no backlight, contrast out of balance,
done by an amateur.

A 4K UHD would be most welcome.

Finally I can keep track of the Hammer editions!
The question is will Hammer Films release a TWINS OF EVIL boxset?

Probably.

Though I would love them to do the trilogy on 4k. I suspect Studio Canal are the trickiest to negotiate with.
