Oh, that's nice. 20th Century Fox is now deciding what we can and can't watch.

Purely down to economics. They obviously feel they can sell more with a PG certificate than a 12 certificate - but I agree, it is a bit off.

They existed in the cinemas but due to the fact that the movie flopped, they decided to do this so that it sells good with a PG rating on DVD and BD

Fox titles are rarely region-all ...
That's what made me order it anyway. The fact that I cant own the US uncut (if there is one).

That, and the slipcover

I just received an e-mail from amazon. They claim that the UK Release doesn't have a slipcover.

Can anybody confirm this?

Thanks for your help!

Going by the way this is worded I'd say the film hasn't been cut for the dvd/bd releases. It says "two deleted scenes..." (IE already cut) "...have been removed in order to obtain a PG certificate". Remember that on a home video release the certicate pertains to the whole package - film AND any extras. To me it seems that Fox has simply cut 2 (already) deleted scenes from the extras to get the PG rating.

You're right. There are no cuts in the film, but two deleted scenes from the extras section are not included on the UK release. They are included however on other releases.

Happy 15th anniversary. Since the show is still running it would be the perfect time for a 4K release.
