Default Onkyo discontinued

It has to be discontinuing HD DVD. They are so f$%^^%$ stupid. I had the rep for Onkyo/Integra tell me that they just came out with their HD DVD player and I wanted to tell him how damn ignorant of a company decision was that. They just released there hD DUD player in like Nov...Who does the research around their?

They are considering discontinuation of HD DVD players because Toshiba is about to announce they are quitting and they won't be able to get parts from Toshiba anymore. (That's what the article says...I thought the Onkyo player is pretty much a rebadged Toshiba, so they won't be able to get pretty much the entire freaking player. )

Yup, complete rebadge of the XA2. Possibly a newer firmware. Certainly had a different splash screen. And if they came out with it in silver, I'd have bought it anwyay. Guess it's good they didn't...

Now bring on the Blu-ray! Denon don't love me enough to give me a silver Blu-ray player.
