Buy a Blu-ray Title to Celebrate Blu Victory - Blu-ray Forum

So which Blu title did you purchase to celebrate Blu's victory over HD DVD? I stopped at Best Buy on my home from work and picked up Pearl Harbor at full retail price (yes, I know I can get this title cheaper on-line). I planned this purchase for several reasons:

1. Michael Bay has been a very vocal and staunch Blu-ray supporter since the beginning. I figure if I'm going to celebrate Blu's victory I might as well help put some money back in the man's pocket.

2. Though I have the standard DVD of this movie, I heard the transfer for this title is incredible and is definitely demo material. It's always good to add top tier titles to your collection.

3. Cheesy romantic plot and some wooden performances aside, I've always been in awe of the action sequences in this film. Michael Bay at his best if you ask me. Experiencing this in 1080p with audio to match will just be an awesome experience and worthy of a double dip.

So let's have some fun and list our Blu-ray victory titles.

To truly celebrate, I'll have to wait for Paramount/Universal. It will be much more meaningful to me when I get blu-ray movies from them.

I've been trying to think up a Blu-ray movie that I want that I don't own to go with all this good news. But I haven't been able to think of a film yet.

But I ordered the AVP pack a few days ago so that's it so far.

I bought The Rock (a Michael Bay film) on Sunday, along with Crimson Tide. I have Run Lola Run coming by mail this week. But right now I am conserving my budget a bit for March 11th, which will see a TON of releases I am buying ASAP.

Just got the first 2 Harry Potter films. None of the stores I ever go to have the collection, Best Buy said it was removed from their system, thought that was kind of strange.

Picked up Crimson Tide...would have waited until a more convenient day later in the week, but I had to celebrate somehow

Considered Aeon Flux, which has magically reappeared at my BB...but then thought, Why celebrate a Blu victory by supporting a studio that is still officially HD DVD exclusive? Then put that down, and picked up a title from a studio that has been Blu from day 1!
