Default Pharaoh (Faraon, 1966) Blu-ray Digipak

Ostalgica will release Faraon, 1966, from polish director Jerzy Kawalerowicz in three Digpak Variants in Germany on March 10. English subs included. This was previously released in the polish "Martin Scorsese Presents: Masterpieces of Polish Cinema" Boxset.

For the first time in Germany, Ostalgica will release the Polish historical film "Pharaoh" (Poland 1966; OT: "Faraon") unabridged with the DEFA dubbed version on Blu-ray Disc. The HD premiere will be released on March 10, 2023 with German and Polish sound in DTS-HD Master Audio 1.0 in triplicate as a limited DigiPak edition. The extensive bonus material includes a video essay by Marco Koch, the radio play "The Mummy's Blood Trail", a picture gallery, the audio book "The Sphinx" by Edgar Allan Poe, trailers and the silent films "The Mummy" and "The Egyptian". The feature film by Jerzy Kawalerowicz, which was shown at the Cannes Film Festival at the time, received an Oscar nomination for best foreign language film in 1967.
