Now the question is, what is the third disc on this set? Minus Color, a DVD of Minus One, or extras? The discs look to be using placeholder art, so hard to discern at this point.

I don't see that happening. It'll very likely mirror the first 2 discs from the Deluxe edition. We don't yet know what the third disc is through.

Presumably Minus Color right? Makes the most sense. Or are all the extras not on 2nd Disc

Might keep my original preorder from Godzilla.com last month. It was only $8 more than this one and it seems I got more for the money. Plus I canceled once from them and I don’t want to change it again.

im glad this is coming out, because then hopefully will buy it and see it. but at this point, i could totally understand feeling shafted. i preordered the limited from godzilla store. ill still have it. i dont regret it. but not even a month and a new edition is out. now, if this is coming out because of overwhelming response to preorders, i would retract that statement.

best case scenario, all these editions sell a ton and we get the remaining godzilla movies all available as a box set later on

Vaya con dios, op. Doing the thread for the Japanese version was a bit nerve wracking, with the false starts and everything, and this release seems to be the same.

Seems really odd to have the subs missing on the English release.

Hope this is what you're looking for. You can even find special custom made blu ray cases for them on ebay and elsewhere.

The standard Blu-ray is a 2-disc set, so it's likely Minus Color. Toho actually did more for us than they did with Japan, they just dropped it when it came to the bonus features.

Yeah, single disc. I can't remember if Minus Color got a DVD release in Japan.

Yeah, that's kind of why I'm wondering if Toho made a single Steelbook to cover all formats. It would be great if the third disc was Minus Color on BD though.

I know it's partially hidden but the banner looks like it's formatted to say 4K UHD + Blu-ray. If it said +DVD it should be less centered due to the length.

Hopefully there's a press release today. I'm double dipping on the Steel for the packaging and poster. I wonder if Gruv will offer it since it's SDS.

Thats what I'm thinking now. It's your first splash into the American market using the license yourself instead of giving it to someone else. It wouldnt surprise me if they did do this. That being said if they do this, I hope they do a 4k Release of Minus Color. I would Double Dip. Actually, I hope they do a 4k Release of Shin Godzilla+ Its colorless version and Minus Color combined.

You can't really sell Minus Color in the Us by itself. Since it's not the "main feature" people went crazy to see. Its better as a Bonus if they did a 4k Release of it with Shin Godzilla and its colorless version, that would still work


Edit: Well you could do a seperate release but at that point Toho should let Criterion do it instead of a mainstream release
