That would be cool to have that one on 4K. The only one that did not have a 4K release in the franchise.

Yep, the moment they announced that Robin Wright wasn't coming back, I knew the story wouldn't be properly concluded.

The original stands alone.

Yeah. It was rubbish verging on the border of parody but because it takes itself so seriously, just fails on the point too. Everything about it was absolutely laughable. I thought McAvoy would have been the saving grace but even he can't overcome the hilarity of the screenplay. I didn't even bother with Glass. That being said, Unbreakable is fantastic taken on its own and I'd be glad to have a UHD of it. Also would love Signs because I find that's actually underrated (and the last good film he had a hand in).

But I’m guessing people just lump in both sequels together, in which case I agree Glass was a letdown.
Yep, Glass’ ending ending tanked 3 movies in one. It’s ultimate Shyamalan ending lol.

I’d love to see the fan reaction in a Superman movie where a random thug gets a sliver of kryptonite and rapes Supes in a back alley. Basically the tone of Glass’ ending.

Yes there were. The movies: Split and Glass by M. Night Shyamalan were two sequels to Unbreakable.

One direct, a side sequel. It’s part of a trilogy with three different characters tied together.

That side sequel was perhaps the biggest movie surprise in my life. You should have seen me in the theater haha. People prob thought I was crazy. I somehow stayed unspoiled and saw it a few weeks after it was released.

It looks better on D+ than the Blu-Ray so this 4K should be a bit of a jump.

As someone who watched the mediocre BD of sixth sense and compared it to the stream which actually has grain, the latter is a huge improvement.

Yep, Glass wasn't a satisfying resolution to Unbreakable, for me, on too many levels.

- Robin Wright was integral to the first film. Moving forward on the sequel without her (she was presumably busy with House of Cards) robbed the Bruce Willis storyline in Glass of its soul

- Glass was trying to service too many storylines - those from Split and also those from Unbreakable, and it did so in a scattered, rushed way. Even though it was 130 minutes, it felt like only 90, and not in a good way.

- The manner in which
[Show spoiler]Willis was killed
was truly disappointing

- Unbreakable soared in large part due to James Newton Howard's majestic score. He and Shyamalan apparently had a bitter falling out while doing After Earth, and Glass was also done as a low budget Blumhouse production, which could never have afforded JNH and a full orchestra anyway. The introduction of Howard's iconic Unbreakable theme
[Show spoiler]at the end of Split
was integral to making
[Show spoiler]that reveal of Willis
work. His soundscape was sorely missing in Glass.
