Speaking of other threads, I will repeat here (from another thread) my curiosity at the development of this becoming the first UHD catalog MCU title. Does anyone have any insight into "Why Hulk first?!" and whether there are any others in the pipeline, too?

Aren't the distribution rights owned by Universal? That's why, if they are.

Because it is a Universal movie, not Disney. They are cashing in on the Infinity War hype.

Guardians 2 got the first 4K release in the MCU, or even Disney in general. I'm thinking as to why Hulk is getting a release, it's probably a Universal decision since they still own the rights to Hulk and probably want to capitalize on the Thor Ragnarok release soon by putting this out.

Universal was my thought as well, but Bill Hunt (I know, I know) is indicating that it's being issued by Disney specifically.

Yea! Assuming that this is being released by Disney, it's odd that they'd choose the least connected film in the MCU as the first catalog title to be released in 4K.

This week, man. It's just crazy. So much surprises, so much we knew but got further confirmation. This is a great time to be on the 4K train.

This is the only MCU movie that I don't own because it's difficult finding it with the green case and slipcover in good condition. Might stop trying to find it and get this instead... Maybe. I'd like to see this get a green case again. Would be the first colored 4K case to my knowledge.

It's like the Jackie Robinson of UHD cases.

I’m confused by the talk of Disney releasing this. It’s a Universal movie. Disney doesn’t have any kind of deal with them, do they? On top of that, Disney just said on Twitter recently that they don’t currently have any plans to release any catalog titles in 4K.

Universal owns the rights to any movie with Hulk as the lead character, which is probably why he hasn't had his own movie since Disney cast their own Hulk.

Just watched this a month or so ago on blu-ray. Can't say I'm excited for a 4K release. It's the weakest MCU film and the special effects have aged terribly.
