I think this is the first Disney movie to be released by Kino Lorber on 4K.

Well, I'm surprised Paramount aren't doing this one themselves, but maybe the fact that they can't do a global release (Disney has international rights) is what led them to license this one out. Regardless, this is an excellent announcement.

Another holy grail upgrade. The unbelievably ugly Blu can finally live it's days out as a coaster.

It's not Disnee. They have international distribution of the film, in the US it's with Paramount. Kino have licensed it from the latter.

Bringing Out the Dead has the same arrangement, so maybe that one is on the way as well.

Thank goodness Paramount isn't releasing it themselves. The Blu-ray badly needs an upgrade, and they'd botch the UHD given their recent track record.
