Have never had a problem with Amazon Italy. I don't think they use the same methods as Amazon US.

Then you’ve been lucky because in my experience Amazon IT is a real crapshoot. I stopped ordering from them because so many items arrived badly damaged.

I'll second that JGCramp. Amazon IT are dogs. I don't order from them anymore. I remember 5 steelbooks all stacked and crammed into a carboard envelope. They arrived bent, dented and dinged where they had all squished together. They replaced the order and did the exact same thing and all came damaged.
I had enough of arguing with them. They can keep there steelbooks until they can learn to ship things in a decent manner.
