New Spiral trailer today, so I guess it makes sense that this would be announced.

Given the nature of this film (how it was shot/aesthetic chosen) I'm not expecting the 4K to be much of an improvement over the currently available Blu-ray. It doesn't strike me as a film where HDR will be a revelation.

The 4K scan and HDR will probably take longer than it took to film, and post production.

I'll wait for a official announcement from the studio, not a unconfirmed listing from Target.

They shot this on a tight budget it wouldn't be a stretch to say it might not be a stunning picture. But they nonetheless should be titles out on 4K UHD. And Im sure they are still gonna be way better PQ than ancient early format mpeg-2 blu-ray encodes... Come on now.

And it will have proper lossless audio, to boot. Maybe immersive remix?

There’s already a steelbook thread with artwork that would be in line with Lionsgate’s recent trend of clear slipcover packaging. While the preorder link isn’t yet up on Best Buy’s site, I don’t think I would call this merely coincidental with two editions of the film for purchase AND a new entry of the franchise on the way shortly, that just premiered a new trailer this morning.
