Brotherhood of Blades and Brotherhood of Blades II: The Infernal Battlefield
MLIFE Exclusive 023+024, Limited to 360 Sets. Estimated Release date: Feb 3rd.

Brotherhood of Blades will feature a 44-page screenplay and a 144-page booklet.
Brotherhood of Blades II: The Infernal Battlefield will feature a Dolby Atmos track and more than 80-minute of behind scenes extras. A 198-page booklet is also included.

Both film feature exclusive audio commentaries with director Yang Lu and cinematographer Qiming Han.

Both movies in this Chinese limited release feature audio commentaries recorded in 2017, but they are not English-friendly. Part 2 has a full-length making-of documentary.

Is it wothwile to choose the chinese set when looking at it from a picture quality point of view? I assume this is the same master as used in the US releases?

The first one have higher video bit rate than US release, the second one is in the correct aspect ratio while US blu-ray cropped the image into 2.39:1. Both films look quite good to me.

Is there any place where I can still buy this that will ship to Canada? I didn't buy from that eBay seller and they're sold out now. I also found that Media Psychos group buy but it's already closed.

Thanks, a shame that this is sold out...

Anyway, it seems that the HK release also has the original 2.66:1 aspect ratio, so we have at least that one to go for.

I think in this case it is not such a big loss (compared to Dragon Inn or White Haired Witch for example). The first part is available in the same quality in the US, and the second part is available in a better quality (4K) in HK.

yes, i am agree with you. But I talk with director about that. the second part is master 2k, there is no 4k copy. So the UHD is upscale from 2k tiff file. I think the color or brightness is better than BD

Does anyone know if the Well Go DVD ever came with a slipcover? I received my copy of the DVD for the second film a couple of days ago and it has this really nice embossed slipcover, but I can't find any information about the first film being available with one. No pictures or anything.

On a side note, I think the DVD for this film might genuinely be the best-looking one I've ever seen. If I walked into a room whilst someone else was watching it during certain scenes, and I didn't know any better, I wouldn't have doubted it was a Blu-ray.

It does. My blu-ray version also comes with a slipcover. There are a few listing on Ebay with the DVD slip.
