Canadian dollars. Equals about USD 32, and as you say it is the SRP.

No sign of Halloween 5 yet, but if Shout has license for that title also I guess it will show up soon.

Revenge, like the original and Return, are actually owned by Trancas, so I'd be surprised if it's not happening as well.

My hunch is that 1-5 are happening this year, and the remaining five - if they happen - will be out next year to tie in with Ends. (Or Scream Factory could totally shock us all and get the entire series out in 4K in one go.)

I don’t think anything has ever been cut from this movie, unless you mean the German version which cut out some gore. Just looked it up on IMDb and it says: “The scene in which Michael kills the mechanic was originally on-screen. The footage showed Michael stabbing the mechanic in the throat with the crowbar.”

I’ve never heard this before. Is this what you’re referring to?

Yes I believe so, they apparently found some of the filmed scenes but were left out, I will look for the article, but there were several things cut out.

I'm sure we'll get new special features since it's Scream putting this out, but I'm really, REALLY hoping they bring over the commentary with Alan B McElroy and Anthony Masi from the 2003 DVD. It was left off the prior Blu-Ray release, which was a shame since it was a really nice commentary track. The German/Austrian Blu-Rays retained it, at least.

This film badly needed a new transfer so this is good news, and it’s also great that Scream’s documentary should finally be available outside the 15 disc boxset. If Scream makes a deal with Paramount/Miramax for their three films, they could potentially reissue their Halloween boxset in 4K with the new transfers. I’d double dip.

won’t happen,paramount dosent seem interested anymore in lending out their films

This is probably a silly question but I'll ask anyway: when something gets announced for UHD, does that mean it's guaranteed to be a brand new scan? They won't use an HD master that's, maybe, 5-6 years old? I was never clear on this.
