If you want to get a New Lifestyle Projector for a significantly lower cost, TCL’s New A1 Portable Lifestyle Laser Projector is just under $500 and although it’s a 1080P resolution the images are very surprisingly excellent with deep blacks very nice color fidelity, color saturation and color volume.

While I would prefer to one day buy a ceiling mounted JVC LCOS projector with native 4K imaging chip as my main home theater projector. The lifestyle projectors are really neat for their small size and the ability to travel with them on business trips and project in different locations outside. Someone that is looking for a portable projector will find that when it comes to quality low-cost portable projectors $3,795 is a bargain. Travel around with a Notebook computer or tablet PC and with HDMI output one is able to play videos and give presentations anywhere is a good selling point. Go back to the hotel and watch a movie projected on the wall, etc.

According to the spec sheet the Leica Cine Play 1 even supports Dolby Vison HDR, HDR10+ and active 3D glasses. Most likely Blu-ray 3D movie discs that are frame packed with 48fps, are then triple flashed to 144fps (but that would need to be verified). 2K (1080p) imaging chip that is pixel shifted to simulate native 4K quality.
