Default Are there any systems out to repair Blu-ray discs?

I am aware of methods and appliances to repair HD DVD's and CD's (plastic film surface). What about Blu-Ray discs (.004" thick glass film surface)??

No, they can't be repaired with a resurfacing

With the hard coat, if you take care of them it should never be an issue anyway

LOL.

I was mainly talking about the fact of the Youtube video where the guy literally takes steel wool to a blu and it still plays.

Hell, man, I treat all my stuff gently. Invested way too much $ in it to treat it like crap.

So trade with me one day without fear.

i was wondering about this myself since i've read and heard about how the discs are made and how durable they should be compared to previous optical media....

however, a very minute scratch on a netflix disc caused me to miss a large section of key dialog in Underworld which made me very disappointed. so what gives?

Just cause it is as tough as hell, it still has the same problem as all Optical Discs when a scratch occurs: It skips. Annoying, but if you can manage to scratch a BD, you'd deserve it to skip on you (Not that I think you scratched the Netflix disc.)

scratch?

... take disc out of box,

... put disc into blu-ray player,

... put disc back into box.

i missed the part where the disc can get scratched?

.. unless some players scratch discs whilst playing?

... take disc out of box,

... gf wasn't through with conversation, tackles you,

... disc flies through the air and falls into the heater vent on the floor,

... after subsequent placing her hand on the hot stove and retrieving the disc from the duct and cleaning it off, place disc into blu-ray player,

... after watching disc skip and eventually stop, place her other hand on the hot stove, grab keys, run to best buy to buy another disc because this one is scratched

I took a knife to my free Spiderman 3 sampler disc to show my father how durable they were. It played beautifully.
