I'm probably more excited for this release than any upcoming release anywhere. I'm pre-ordering this baby as soon as it shows up.

I can't wait to see the theatrical cut, I've never seen it, and I usually prefer theatrical cuts of films, so I'm curious to compare them.

I think they also said the theatrical cut would have the original audio mix, while the director's cut would have the remix.

It was all in that YouTube video from the conference in Italy a few months back.

The Theatrical Cut is far superior almost beyond question. It's the version that I had viewed numerous times before the Director's Cut first came out. The shortened DC basically just cuts out entire characters/scenes and really added nothing. It's the decades-later "Director's Cut" that I dislike almost as much as what happened to The Warriors and the original Star Wars trilogy.

I only have the Theatrical Cut on the old "Second Sight" 2008 UK 3-Disc DVD set... so it's great news that it will finally be released in HD!

So excited for this!

Also just had a crazy serendipity moment... just logged on to the forum after finishing season 2 of The Leftovers. Checked up on this thread and decided to check the Wikipedia page for the film to read about the theatrical cut (I've only seen the director's cut), only to find this!

Oh man. Even though I own the Mondo Vision /2000 huge ass set, I'd welcome a UHD Second Sight edition in a heart beat.

...but why? This will be better. And have MUCH better packaging. Second Sight & Arrow Limited Editions are the absolute best sizes. Not too large and obnoxious, but a little more substantial than just a case. I wish every movie came in slim slip boxes like them.

Also, I've never seen this movie and buying the Second Sight LE will be a blind buy that I'm excited for.

I'm so glad that we're going to have both cuts (114 minutes and 107 minutes) in 4K UltraHD in their OAR. I can't wait to add it to my collection.

I thought I saw Geoff D mentioned seeing this restoration and saying it'd be interesting to see how people reacted to it. I'm a little worried honestly

Oh no...could this be the so-called DNR disaster?

This is one of my favorites so I'm praying with all my being.
