This might end up being nothing but vaporware, but I hope it ends up being real and succeeds because we really need competition in the GPU market (even though Intel tried and has been all but ignored).

It is great to see companies like bolt building hardware that allows the consumer to make the most of their equipment. Upgrading VRAM, who would have thunk it
![]() The trend of making non-upgradable PCs/Phones/Tablets is a bane that hurts both the consumer as well as the environment. The only winner is the corporation, who needs to spew out a new model to replace the old models intentionally designed obsolescence. For example, go back a decade or two and look how easy it was to access and replace components like RAM, HDD, and batteries on a laptop. The Framework laptop is a good model for what companies could be doing, making equipment designed to have parts replaced or upgraded. |

Would be nice to see a real competitor more geared towards the software side of gpu needs, as Nvidia has spent the last decade only caring about Bitcoin miners and now AI creators. You can literally put in a video game from 10 years ago now and the graphics from any AAA title in 2025 has minimal advances if any imo.
