I was literally just thinking last night how I wanted these films to get 4K releases. It'd be nice for them to get a 4K release as a whole trilogy, like what Shout recently did for the Bill and Ted films. Hopefully its down the line (along with the US getting a release as well.)

I'm not all that surprised to see this pop up. In fact, I'm probably more surprised that we haven't seen it sooner. Happy to add it to the uhd library, and I'm sure the sequels aren't going to be far behind.

I hope Warner Bros. can do a US 4K release because they have the rights there.

This will probably have the international version of the movie but I'll get it anyways. I prefer the US version of the movie but I doubt Warner will ever get around to releasing it on 4K UHD (they seem to hate New Line Cinema comedies). My ancient VC-1 blu-ray is about to get retired

On second thought, if it has the audio commentary by Jay Roach and Mike Myers, the 4K UHD will either contain the US version of the movie or the audio commentary will have to be edited to fit the international version.

Not sure how those extras amount to 3 hours, even if you count the commentary.

Anyway, I'd rather wait for a trilogy set, even if the other two getting 4Ks rely on the sales of this one. I just can't imagine owning only the first.

I feel the same way about waiting for sets when a film has a sequel or sequels. Thats why I held off with the Bill and Ted films for its trilogy set and I'm waiting to see if Paramount will give us both Addams Family films in a two pack.

I think they'll at least release the first one in time for Shrek 5, if not all three like they did with the Oceans movies.

Nice! Been waiting for this. I wish they would have done all three at once though. I’ll get this until WB releases it.

NOES remains a beloved horror franchise, Austin Powers has become fairly forgotten

Only interested in the international version.

The US version has never been released here.

Let's hope they don't start now.

Also, adding Seth Green's name to the artwork? LOL

I live in the UK but I think I may have only ever owned the US version as I always sourced my DVDs from the US to avoid PAL speedup, in that regard I dont think ive ever seen the International cut, I never knew.

Funny timing this - hadn’t seen it since the dvd era, decided to watch it on Prime a few days ago, 4K announced a few days later

Some bits haven’t aged particularly well, but there’s plenty of stuff that still raises a chuckle.

Well, Icon did a very good job with the recent Point Break 4K UK release, so hopefully it should be a good one.
