I start this thread to warn everybody who is looking for a Blu-ray release of this classic MGM movie.
Avoid this German release of MGMs CAPTAIN NEMO AND THE UNDERWATER CITY at all costs! It is an atrocious upscale of an SD master, additionally scrubbed with DNR and boosted colors. Absolutely awful and even far worse than the old US Warner Archive DVD-R. The disc does not contain any extras (not even a trailer), no subtitles, and my Mediabook had the booklet tacked-in twice, offset against each other. A complete catastrophy of a release. |

Shame. It’s a childhood favourite and deserves a decent blu-ray.
