4 box sets is better then I was expecting actually, should be pretty cost effective. Looking forward to this. Hopefully we get the OVAs as well

Very cool to hear this! Its a shame they couldn't include the 2 episodes dubbed by the BBC with Matt Lucas & Anna Friel but I guess they must be a licencing nightmare!

This would be my guess if I were betting on it. All the non-SD blus I can remember from them, it's 13 episodes a disc.

Episode count varies. For HD content, I've seen from 7 up to 13 per disc.

Yeah I should have said caps at. So it would be really hard to see these sets being less than 4 discs each even with no extras imo.

I say chances are low. There’s no Extras and can’t blame an English Dub being on it. And it will be about 50 to 52 episodes per set. If there is someone who can fit 12-13 episodes per disc it’s Discotek.

Ah damn I need this. Rightstuf got rid of their free $250 shipping to Canada at the worst possible time (actually there is no good time to get rid of it, lol). Discotek gotta find a way to get Amazon.ca to start carrying their products again.

Currently watching Cat's Eye Season 1 which is 12 episodes per disc and it looks fantastic, even better than I remember the German BDs looking which is a 4 disc set vs Discotek's 3 disc set. In terms of video quality I don't think there's anything to worry about with Discotek.

If it's 195 episodes in 4 sets, it should be a 49/49/49/48 split if they did them as evenly as possible. That's a 13/12/12/12 split in each of the 3 larger sets, and 12 eps on all 4 discs in the smaller set. So mostly 12 episode discs, with 3 discs having 13 episodes. Seems pretty doable.

They probably wouldn't need more than that, given their track record. Adding a fifth disc would make each set 4 discs of 10 eps and 1 disc of 9, but that probably wouldn't be needed.

City Hunter TV had 12-13 episodes per disc.
It is HD with no English Dub so it seems probable that UY will follow suit.
